Sunday school classes are offered for all
ages beginning with two-year olds who are potty trained. Children's
classes are group graded and involve students in active learning.
These
special Sunday school activities are a part of our annual schedule:
Rally Day is the first Sunday
after Labor Day and kicks off our new Sunday school year. Special
activities are a part of our Sunday
school hour and an all-church picnic is
enjoyed in the afternoon.
Craft Sunday is in early December and the children make Christmas crafts.
Lenten Memory Verses are learned
by students who are rewarded each week with colored eggs for their Easter
baskets. On Palm
Sunday they bring them into the "Egg Store" where they
are exchanged for prizes.
Vacation Bible School is offered
for children ages 3 through grade six. The materials are ecumenical and
biblically based with the
theme changing each year. VBS is held from 9:00
a.m. to noon, the second week of July each year.
Summer Camp at one of our Lutheran Bible Camps is encouraged for our youth in kindergarten through senior high school.
Confirmation is taught during
Sunday morning classes for students in grades 7 and 8. They are confirmed in the
spring of
their
eighth grade year.
