Adventure Place is an outreach ministry of our congregation to families in the community and beyond.  This ministry "launched" in September 1987, was called Latch Key.  At that time, before and after school care was provided to twelve children.  This wonderful ministry realized the dream of many hardworking dedicated members of Advent.  From it's humble beginnings of a paid staff of two and two volunteers, Latch Key continued to grow beyond what anyone could have imagined, ministering to hundreds of families throughout the years.  As the program evolved, it outgrew the name Latch Key and was renamed Adventure Place.  Through a staff of more than fifteen this ministry now provides care to an average of one hundred fifty children from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. year round,  Monday through Friday.  Adventure Place also offers a pre-school only program in addition to full and part-time childcare.  We are blessed that Adventure Place is recognized as such a valued outreach ministry in our community.
